A highlight of IMSH 2022 was the groundbreaking introduction and testing of hologram technology in simulation. As part of a dedicated experience area, participants were invited to interact with newly developed holographic simulations, pushing the boundaries of traditional training methods.
The excitement was palpable as simulation experts and educators gathered to observe and trial the holographic setup. The scene, captured in one of the event visuals, shows a participant engaging directly with the setup—demonstrating both curiosity and awe as the hologram responded to gestures and commands. Feedback from the simulation community underscored the transformative potential of merging holography with existing training modalities—making learning more dynamic, accessible, and lifelike.

IMSH 2022 will be remembered not just for gathering the community, but for daring to imagine what the next generation of simulation could look like—with holograms leading the charge.
This exposure led to further exploration of this technology for simulation. Read the study;
