Insights from IMSH 2025

It was an incredible experience to deliver multiple sessions at IMSH 2025 (Jan 10-14, 2025), engaging with an audience of 70-100 and sometimes full to the capacity professionals in each session. The discussions highlighted the evolving landscape of healthcare simulation, particularly the growing role of AI.
A significant focus this year was on AI in healthcare simulation. In “Reaching Into the Future: AI in Healthcare Simulation,” the transformative impact of AI on simulation practices was addressed (Jan 12, 2025).
“Debate: AI Will Replace the Simulationist” sparked a dynamic discussion on the future of human expertise alongside AI-driven advancements (Jan 13, 2025).
Additionally, “How Does AI Understand Us? Prompt Engineering for Healthcare Simulation” provided an in-depth look into AI’s interaction with simulation programs and its implications for education and practice (Jan 13, 2025).
People were enthusiastic after attending the sessions. They are looking forward to more research and several projects were also committed during sessions for AI.
